THE BRIEF

REINVIGORATE HOMEBASE'S SOCIAL PLATFORMS TO DRIVE CONSUMER ENGAGEMENT 

To reignite the Homebase social media channels for better engagement in a cluttered competitive landscape, we overhauled both the look and feel and tone of voice to make it lighter, more entertaining and ultimately drive more consumers to the website. And it worked, with a 307% increase in link clicks YOY.  

The social strategy tapped into widespread cultural moments that were being talked about across social platforms for optimum engagement. One such trend-spotting example was the #nicedayout viral trend featuring Take That legend and all-around nice guy, Gary Barlow. Our take on his "very nice day out", in the Homebase gardening section, which, achieved 177k organic reel views and was picked up by national media.​
